This Sunday at Calvary Chapel Waterford - November 23, 2025

This Sunday at Calvary Chapel Waterford, we enter one of the clearest Old Testament portraits of Jesus Christ — Isaiah 49. 

Chapters 49–66 form a new section in Isaiah, where the promised Servant steps forward not only as Israel’s Redeemer, but as God’s salvation “to the ends of the earth.” Isaiah shows us a Servant called from the womb, named by God, hidden until the right time, whose words cut like a sword because they are the very words of God. This Servant is Jesus Himself, the only One who fulfills Israel’s mission to bring light to the Gentiles. 

And this matters for us: the God who sent His Servant to restore Israel is the same God who gathers, restores, forgives, and strengthens you. If you feel forgotten, overwhelmed, or distant from God, Isaiah 49 speaks directly to you.
